Lanier Islands is Proud to Introduce a New Addition: The Break inside Family Fun Park

As if more than a dozen waterslides and attractions, ½ mile stretch of white sandy beach, 5-story high HD Spectacular Screen, racing ziplines, miniature golf course and jam-packed schedule of events weren’t enough to draw you here, LanierWorld has its sights set on serving as a mouth-watering Mecca on the shores of Lake Lanier. Already home to two full-service restaurants, three beachfront bars, a bunch of boardwalk bistros, and a slew of concession stands, Lanier Islands beach, boardwalk and waterpark entertainment district is now proud to introduce a new restaurant concept called The Break inside LanierWorld’s Family Fun Park.

The brainchild of the owners of the highly acclaimed Rico’s World Kitchen in Buford and wildly popular Brunch Apothecary in Dacula, The Break brings a little regional and International flair of its own with a crave-worthy compilation of handheld fare that includes:

  • Louisiana Po Boys – We take toasted French bread and top it with lettuce, tomato, pickles, remoulade sauce and your choice of golden fried fish, shrimp or oysters (when available)
  • Cuban Traditionale – Layer after delicious layer of marinated pork, sliced ham, mayo, mustard, pickle and swiss cheese – all served within pressed bread with a side of mojo dipping sauce
  • Gold Rush Brisket – Grilled potato bun topped with house smoked brisket, signature Georgia gold slaw and spicy craft pickles
  • Rowdy Rooster – Hand-battered chicken breast layered with jalapeño goddess sauce, mayo, lettuce, tomato and Irish white cheddar set atop a grilled potato bun
  • Tuna Hawaiian Hero – Seared ahi tuna paired with seared pineapple, seaweed salad and sriracha aioli on french bread for a real taste of the Islands
  • Bahn Mi Bao Buns – For a little Asian fusion flair, we take Chasu pork belly and layer it with pickled daikon and carrot, fresh cucumber, jalepenos, soy glaze and sriracha aioli, then serve it all atop steamed bao buns
  • Great Break Steak Sandwich – This “stick to your ribs” slice of heaven starts with grilled French bread, stuffed with garlic roasted strip loin, Portobello mushroom and Havarti cheese, drizzled with horseradish cream, mayo and truffle oil.

Add-ons include parmesan truffle fries, tomato cucumber salad and camellia red beans and rice. For the little ones, The Break offers kid-friendly fare such as chicken tenders, fried shrimp, corn dog bites and grilled cheese sandwiches. Located within steps of our famed WildWaves wave pool, we invite you to dine here and discover why empty seats and tables are so hard to come by at The Break’s ground-breaking pair of predecessors: Rico’s World Kitchen and The Brunch Apothecary.
